Abbotsbury Beachcombers
The volunteers behind the fireworks, the fete, bingo, the quizzes, the band nights and the giant marrows. Every penny raised stays in the village. They are based at the Swan.

The Beachcombers are the village's fundraisers, run entirely by volunteers and based at the Swan Inn. Their own line is "Nobody gets paid, everyone gets cake", and every penny raised stays in the village. They put on the fireworks, the summer fete, the quiz, band nights, bingo at Easter and Christmas and through the year, and the giant marrow competition.
Coming up: Fireworks Night on Saturday 7 November 2026 from 7pm at the Swan, the Boxing Day Bonanza on Saturday 26 December, and the New Year party on Thursday 31 December from 9pm. Bingo dates go on their Facebook page. To get in touch or lend a hand, use the form on beachcombers.uk.
